Ruby/Rails and Javascript/React Developer

I pride myself in being an honest and ethical developer.

I've been experimenting in web technologies since I was 13 years old. I first started freelancing with PHP and Wordpress. In early 2013, I committed myself to being mostly a Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer. However, I do have extensive experience in other languages noted under "Experience & Skills."

Over my freelancing career, I've had the privilege of working with many incredible clients.

Project Management Skills

To effectively communicate ideas for Project Management positions, I've been able to utilize technologies such as:
- Redmine and LightHouse for ticket/issue management,
- Wireframe Sketcher to demonstrate UI/UX ideas,
- MindNode Pro to better explain the flow of ideas,
- Photoshop to show mockups,
- Google Docs for organization,
- and Skype, Slack, or phone for immediate communication with clients.

Customer Service

I've been able to utilize technologies such as Zendesk, Help Scout, Camtasia Studio, Microsoft Office, Snagit, and more to provide extraordinary customer experiences.

I'm very self-driven and computer literate. That enables me to learn new technologies very quickly.

I've even created command line ruby applications to help with the auditing customers and increasing sales by $1,000s of dollars.

Web and Software Development

To aid with quality user experiences, I've had the privilege of leveraging technologies such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, MiniTest, PHP, WordPress, Javascript, jQuery, JSON, and much more!

Although I'm familiar with PHP and it's frameworks, I specialize in Ruby and it's associated frameworks such as Ruby on Rails.

I love working with front-end Javascript technologies such as CoffeeScript, jQuery, React, and even plain ol' vanilla Javascript. I've had the chance to dabble with React Native. It's a Javascript library that enables you to create Andriod and iOS apps.

Web Application Deployment

I frequently work with Git, BitBucket, Tower, Sourcetree, RubyMine, iTerm, Capistrano, Nginx and Chef to deploy Ruby on Rails applications to Digital Ocean and Heroku.

I've integrated Ruby and Rails applications with Twilio, Stripe, AWS, Facebook, Mandrill, Sendgrid, MailGun, InfusionSoft, Zendesk, MailChimp, Avalara Tax Software and much more.

I strongly believe in writing automated tests for Ruby applications. I have experience with writing tests in both RSpec and Minitest.

I have experience with CPanel and it's server administration interface. Including the Apache web server and NGINX.
